Human evidence summary
There are zero human studies of KPV. The FDA has specifically stated that it hasn't found any human exposure data at all for this peptide, by any method of taking it (FDA). Anything people say about KPV helping wounds heal or calming the gut in humans is currently just a guess based on lab and animal data, or personal anecdotes — not proven science.
Preclinical evidence summary
In mice with induced colitis (an inflamed bowel condition), giving KPV in their drinking water reduced weight loss, cut a marker of gut inflammation in half, improved how the gut tissue looked under a microscope, and lowered several inflammatory chemical messengers (PMC2431115). A separate study used tiny nanoparticles to deliver KPV directly to inflamed gut tissue in mice and also saw improvement (Mol Ther 2017).
