Crystagen is another lab-made peptide from the same Russian "bioregulator" family, this one linked to the immune system, specifically the thymus (a small organ behind your breastbone that trains immune cells). Oddly, scientists aren't even fully sure of its exact chemical makeup — the actual scientific paper studying it never states its precise amino-acid sequence, and it's missing from the official list published by the same research group. Sellers often claim a specific sequence, but that claim hasn't been verified by scientists (Adv Gerontol 2014; Molecules 2021).

Mechanism under study

The only real finding is that Crystagen activated a specific type of immune cell called a B-lymphocyte (a cell that helps make antibodies) in the spleen of aging rats — but interestingly, it did NOT change how fast those cells multiplied or died, which sets it apart from a couple of similar peptides (Adv Gerontol 2014). Beyond that one detail, how it actually works is unknown; it's assumed to work like other peptides in this family (attaching to DNA), but that hasn't been shown specifically for Crystagen.

There are no human studies of Crystagen at all.

Preclinical evidence summary

There is exactly one animal study: aging rats' spleen tissue was examined, and it showed the B-lymphocyte activation described above (Adv Gerontol 2014). This is the entire scientific record for Crystagen — there's no other primary research to point to.
